MOVE Conference 2023: Meet your Speakers!
Key Note Speaker- Becky Whitaker
We are delighted to announce this years key note speaker is Becky Whitaker. Becky trained as a PE & dance teacher, has worked in schools for 10 years and specialised in supporting students with mental health concerns, anxiety and more. She became chronically ill in 2020 and has been motivated since to bring inclusive dance opportunities to people ever since through her buisness FlexFit with Becky!
Becky now provides training for education professionals to deliver Inclusive Dance in their schools. Becky also creates fantastic inclusive resources for schools to support them to embed inclusive movement opportunities where ever possible for young people children and adults! We are thrilled that Becky will be joining us to share her inspirational story whilst providing you with exciting ideas to embed dance into your MOVE provision!
Guest Speaker- Martin Sinclair
We are thrilled to announce that retired England and Paralympian CP football player Martin Sinclair will be joining our fantastic speaker line up at the 2023 MOVE conference! Following his successful career in CP football, Martin has developed projects and strategies to enhance opportunities for disabled people to get involved in football. Away from the football pitch Martin has created and delivered personal development programmes that build resilience and leadership skills as well as creating opportunities into employment.
Martin’s passion is to ensure people are seen, supported and inspired where he uses his own lived experiences of disability and football to inspire others to do the same. Martin will be speaking in our session The Power of Being Seen: Why Representation Matters. This is a session not to be missed so grab your tickets today!
